Serving on the team are Jason Christ (Director of Attract and Middle School Ministries), Marsha Peth (Director of Care Ministries), Sue Steege (Director of Transformation Ministries), and Tim Hartnett (Ministry Operations Manager). We have been reading Joining Jesus on His Mission: How to be an Everyday Missionary by Greg Finke for several months now. Today we decided that it will be the focus of First Trinity’s all-church study in Fall of 2015. Exciting! We are also looking for a new book to read together. Suggestions welcome!

After eight years of faithful service, Sue McKie is stepping down from leading our ministry to Friends of Night People. Once every other month, First Trinity takes a meal to Friends of Night People and serves it. We are looking for someone to fill this meaningful position and worked on a strategy to find that person. Prayers, please! If you would like more information, contact Marsha Peth (mpeth@firsttrinity.com).

There is a congregation meeting on Saturday May 16 to approve the expenditure for renovating the Preschool. We talked through that presentation.

We talked through the position description for a Band Leader for our Contemporary Worship Teams. Tim Amor is actively seeking a job as a Pastor in the Midwest, and we know this search is coming soon. Jason will be asking for feedback from the worship bands as well as the full staff as we move forward in the process.

We talked through a strategy for addressing the current challenges section of our Vision Statement.  Each staff person is working on brainstorming ideas for addressing one or two of the current challenges. They will bring their ideas to the June 2 Staff/EMT meeting.

Pastor is waiting to hear from someone who is considering Director of Serve Ministries.

Thanks for this summary of the EMT’s recent meeting. I’m very pleased with the way FT is governed and also how the congregation is kept informed as well as alerted to what is being considered by the EMT. My prayers continue to be with you all.
