MOVE 2018 – Friday

Today’s Theme: LOVE/FEAR Bible Readings: 1 John 4:7-21, 3:16-18 Main Points: Perfect love casts out fear. Love leaves no room for fear. Those who know they are loved by God are fearless. They literally have NOTHING to fear…God loves them and has sent Jesus to prove it. They live lives of fearless love that points others back to the Father. The calling is to love the way Jesus did – by being willing to suffer, to sacrifice that others might be…

MOVE 2018 – Thursday

Today’s Theme: OBEY/REBEL Bible Readings: 1 John 5:1-5, 13-15, 2:1-6 Main Points: Jesus died for rebels. Overcoming our rebellion doesn’t happen by doing better and trying harder – it comes by faith in Jesus. Sometimes the answer itself is really easy. Living it out – not so much. The reality is that if you believe in Jesus, you should obey Him and do what he tells you to do. Overcoming our rebellion doesn’t happen by doing better and trying harder…

MOVE 2018 – Wednesday

Today’s Theme: BELIEVE/DENY Bible Readings: 1 John 2:21-25, 3:19-23 Main Points: Belief is active, not a one-time occurrence. John implores his readers to remain…to keep going, keep believing. All of this hinges on who we believe Jesus to be…He is the one in whom we place our faith and trust. God’s love for us is not affected by the quality of our belief…it really is the other way around. Even as we pursue the light and battle against the darkness,…

MOVE 2018 – Tuesday

Today’s Theme: LIGHT/DARK Bible Readings: 1 John 1:5-10, 2:7-11 Main Points: Life in the dark is miserable. When we live in the dark, we do not have fellowship with others, our relationships are broken, and we do not have fellowship with God either. There is no darkness at all in God. Claiming to be in the light doesn’t make it so…we have to be honest about the darkness we live in and step out of it. Yes, we’ll be exposed…

MOVE 2018 – Monday

Today’s Theme: CONTRAST Bible Readings: 1 John 1:1-4, 2:12-14 Main Points: Jesus is REAL and knowing Him brings JOY! Jesus was/is an actual person. John touched him, listened to him, saw him with his own two eyes. The Jesus that John is telling people about is for everyone – from all walks of life and all stages of faith. faith journey, Jesus is applicable.  No matter where you are in your faith journey, Jesus is for YOU.  Schedule: Rafting and…

Exciting Opportunity for Growth in Youth Ministry!

Rooted and Relevant Celebrating Life Together All People Matter These are the three core values we use to summarize the “DNA” of our church family here at First Trinity. One of the most challenging ones to embody is that first one. Because our world is changing so quickly around us we must continually seek God’s guidance in how we remain firmly rooted in the unchanging truth of God’s Word and our Lutheran heritage while sharing and living it in ways…
