Cornerstone
For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a
chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in
him will never be put to shame."
Cornerstone is the name for our Confirmation program. This
is not your parents' confirmation program, however, with
lots of lecture and flannel graphs. Cornerstone is a time
for 7th and 8th graders to gather together for Christian
instruction and relationship building. There are games, a
large group teaching time, and small group time to discuss
what's happening in your lives and how the topic for the
night applies to your life. Cornerstone takes place on the
1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. It
starts in October and runs through April, ending with the
Confirmation of our 8th Graders on the first Sunday of May
(May 3, 2009)

Cornerstone Remix
Unlike the usual Cornerstone time, Remix includes all
students in grades 6-8 for large group activities. We
alternate between Fun and Service activities, though we like
to think that even the service projects are lots of fun.
Some of the things that we've done in the past include game
nights like "Eggstravaganza" (games with, you guessed it,
eggs) and "Adventures in Duct Tape" (where we taped students
to the wall and had a Duct Tape fashion show) and service
projects like making care packages for Katrina victims that
were relocated to the Tonawanda area.
Of course Cornerstone Remix has their
own photo album in our photo gallery.
Browse through it to see the fun for
yourself!
