Opportunities to Serve

Usher

Ushers serve at one of our three worship services approximately once/month. Duties include passing out bulletins as people enter and assisting people to find seats for worship. Contact Jason Christ to sign up.

Greeter

Greeters welcome guests and help them find their way around our building. Greeters serve about once/month before and after a worship service. Contact Jason Christ to sign up.

Information Center

The information center workers help connect people to information they need. They are friendly people with a service-oriented mindset. Some computer knowledge is beneficial for the job as information is stored on a web site. Training is provided for all workers. IC volunteers serve once/month. Contact Tracy Bramwell to sign up.

Friends of Night People

Friends of Night People is a ministry that feeds hungry people in Buffalo. The ministry happens on the third Sunday of every other month. There are a number of ways to help:

  • Cooking Goulash (Recipe). Goulash can be delivered to the church the day of the event or a couple days early. It should be placed in the refrigerator in the kitchen off the gym.
  • Put donated food into containers before the 8:45 service. This requires some lifting as the goulash is put into 5 gallon buckets and kept in the refrigerator until after the 11:15 service.
  • Purchase fruit and supplies a few days before the scheduled event. This requires some lifting and a membership at BJ’s or Sam’s Club.

Please contact Sue McKie, at 433-8120, if you have questions, or are interested in helping.
