Jumping In–Finding Joy!

Jumping In–Finding Joy!

Dear Staff and Leaders at First Trinity,

We are working on helping people find places to jump in at First Trinity and find joy in serving. We know that people get excited about serving when:

  • They have some autonomy (they are given a job to do and then they get to decide how to get it done)
  • They get to learn how to do something or how to get better at something
  • They are connected to a purpose greater than themselves (Hello! Jesus!!)

We are hoping to help people find those kinds of opportunities here. Please help us by filling out this form as many times as you need to (one for each opportunity in your ministry). We need them by August 15.

Thanks!

Jumping In--Finding Joy!

Knowing that God has designed each of His people with particular strengths and gifts and talents, and that He calls them to serve others both inside the church and out in His world with those strengths and gifts and talents, we are attempting to describe those opportunities inside the church (and some out in His world) in a way that helps people jump in.

For example: Lifetree Cafe, Confirmation, Choir, FT Kids, etc.
For example: Greeter, Small Group Leader, Choir Member, Shepherd, etc.
A "mini job description".
Include the day/time the opportunity takes place as well as the commitment you're looking for. Also include information about when they can start.
As best you can, point to the larger purpose of this ministry opportunity and why it makes a difference. You might use words/phrases from our Mission/Vision/Core Values.
Describe how a volunteer will learn what to do and what support they will have going forward.
