Reading in Worship

As you prepare to read in worship, here are a few tips to get ready:

  • Read the assigned text once silently.
  • Use the links below for an audio recording of the scripture passages. Listening the the Word can help you speak it better as you learn the rhythm and cadence to the text.
  • Read the text aloud at least twice. Speak like you would at church. Speak up, as if you are speaking to a room of about 20 people. You don’t need to shout, but the louder you are to start with, the clearer the sound will be when coming through the speakers.
